The Inukshuk

On the horizon, it can been seen,
Good things ahead is what it will mean.
A sign of hope, left by someone who cares.
Nourishment and shelter, hopefully without any bears!

In the absence of trees, it’s sure to stand out,
Rocks piled high and yet, there is no one about.
It was surely built by someone determined and brave,
Even though rest was all they did crave.

Ceux qui l’ont construit sont maintenant partis,
Mais on trouve toujours les traces de leur esprit.
Elles indiquent la bonne voie à prendre,
Que par ici sont passés des amis de qui dépendre.

Tout comme les athlètes des olympiques,
L’Inukshuk promet des choses magnifiques !
Toi, moi et tout le monde ensemble,
Créons en un pareil comme bon nous semble.

For us to build such a symbol of strength,
We have to be prepared to go to great length.
